The unique combination of these characteristics makes teakwood naturally resistant to moisture, rot, warping, shrinking, splintering, insects, fungus, marine borers and termites making it an ideal material for the production of outdoor furniture. The Victoria Garden is designed using mortise and tenon joinery with locking wood dowels. The hardware is of highest quality brass or, where unseen or internal, or where extra strength is needed, stainless steel. The Three Birds furniture is then hand finished to a smooth, polished finish using only fine abrasive materials. No oils or waxes are applied to achieve the finish of Three Birds teakwood furniture prior to delivery to customers
